US Patent & Trademark Office Awards Registration to EDR-LEAP®

EDR-LEAP® - the Local Economic Assessment Package is the unique, award-winning system to examine local economic development strengths and weaknesses, assess opportunities and barriers, and develop targets for economic development strategy. The core LEAP concept system dates to 2003 when it was issued for use by the Appalachian Regional Commission. The more powerful web-based EDR-LEAP® version went live on the internet in 2005.

An application for registration of the web -based product was filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO). After a year-long review of the EDR-LEAP® application, PTO granted the registered service mark to Economic Development Research Group in 2006.

EDR-LEAP® is protected by Reg. 3,106,561 issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
